Quality Improvement Clinical Officer

The Quality Improvement Clinical Officer will coordinate and oversee the implementation of Quality Improvement activities within the Directorate.
Key areas of responsibility:
·Provide support with the technical management of the HIVQUAL initiative at a national level.
·Work with the technical lead in the development of core and optional clinical and prevention quality indicators based upon national practice guidelines and priorities.
·Work with the technical lead to develop quarterly QI work plans and technical reports.
·Visit regional management teams and hospital ART committees to mentor and motivate staff in QI.
·Work in partnership with MoHSS committees on Quality management (QM) directorate, Case Management and Regional Management teams, Donor agencies and other relevant entities.
·Train health workers in HIV care related Quality Improvement.
·Perform regular site support visits at participating clinics.
·Evaluate progress toward objectives and disseminate findings to key stakeholders.
·Remain current with best QM and QI practices in Namibia and other countries.
·Conduct annual quality Organizational assessments at both national and subnational level to assess Quality Improvement infrastructure.
·Be actively involved in the implementation of various QM approaches that are adapted by the MoHSS.
