HIV Prevention National Coordinator

You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of HIV Prevention activities within the Directorate.
Key areas of responsibility:
·To provide support to the MoHSS in HIV and TB prevention program, planning by determining the objectives and establishing program policies and procedures.
·Support the implementation of the Combination Prevention Strategy (CPS) of the MoHSS.
·Provide support to the National Prevention Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) in the coordination and programs across sectors and partners.
·Provide support to the various task forces engaged in the development of state of the art prevention program, including the National Male Circumcision Task Force and the Prevention Assessment Task Force.
·Liaise, establish and maintain productive and effective working relationships as appropriate with MoHSS staff, other government ministerial representatives, donors and other prevention stakeholders in order to maximize the coordination of prevention efforts.
·Support the MoHSS in the preparation of documents for prevention activities, these include the dissemination of lessons learned to improve best practice and facilitate Namibian partners’ abilities to adopt projects appropriately.
·Evaluate progress toward objectives and disseminate findings to key stakeholders.
·Seek out opportunities to integrate prevention effectors across programmatic areas, with particular emphasis on HIV/STI/TB.
·Play an active role in the development of prevention information, education, behavior change communication materials, media campaigns and other educational initiatives.
