The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the planning and coordination of all plant activities to ensure the regulation of maintenance operations in a timely manner as well as supervise and evaluate maintenance programs prepared by team members. Overall the candidate will be responsible to facilitate the execution of specific projects; reports on project progress and ensure appropriate record keeping of all events and meetings. Furthermore to apply a hands-on, yet mature approach in the evaluation of individual and sectional performance and provide regular reports and feedback to the Branch Manager. Typical key performance objectives would include, to: ensure safety standards are maintained on a continuous basis and undertake regular safety inspections;proactively attend to breakdowns, plant repairs, including all machinery, equipment, tools and ensure corrective action; continuously monitor productivity i.e. actual production against set production targets; monitor standard usage of materials and consistently ensure that raw materials are available in adequate quantities; manage the availability and maintenance of moulds so to ensure consistent product compliance. Furthermore, the successful incumbent will safeguard quality control mechanisms i.e. by reviewing production methods and techniques to produce reliable quality products; initiate appropriate systems / solutions / methodologies to ensure operational effectiveness, enhanced production flow and efficiency. The incumbentÃ¢€™s success will hinge on his ability to meet stringent performance targets aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and deliverables targets. The incumbent will also be expected to provide robust leadership, which include capacity building motivation of staff; assessing performance gaps; provide training in efficient based/ manufacturing techniques and processes to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
