The successful incumbent will assume the overall responsibility of managing the talent development strategy of the organisation. This will essentially entail developing and facilitating the roll out of talent management/ succession planning strategies, in line with organisation-wide needs and objectives, that ultimately serve to enhance and optimise human resource capabilities. The effective roll out of these strategies would require the incumbent to engage in a great deal of business partnering and collaboration, with line managers across various cost units, aimed at providing guidance as well as assessing and facilitating human capital needs. The incumbentÃ¢€™s success will primarily hinge on his/her ability to serve in both a leadership as well as technical specialist and advisory capacity that supports workforce planning, specialist skills identification & recruitment, learning & development and continuous improvement. Typical key performance objectives would include: managing the talent profile of the organisation; compiling annual AA Reports; facilitating recruitment and selection, as per organisational needs; providing effective Human Capital Service delivery and business partnering; managing all training & development initiatives and strategies and assessing OD needs. Following the implementation of the various talent and OD interventions, the incumbent will facilitate a variety of transformation or change processes as well as oversee systems for measuring and evaluating progress to assess the impact and implications of such developments on the organisationÃ¢€™s overall human capital strategy. The successful incumbent will lead the process of change and transformation to create an organisational culture of optimal human resource utilization, teamwork, and collaboration, across functional boundaries.
